Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers -

Standardised

UNIVEX and OCC Series                  the brochure.
The benefits of FRIGOTHERM’s shell and tube heat exchangers Since cylinders and spheres exhibit the best yield strength when under pressure, it is not surprising that shell and tube heat exchangers are unbeatable when it comes to handling high pressure media, usually coupled with relatively high tempera- tures. This makes them robust and fault tolerant, another advantage that is unscrupulously exploited in many a rough industry.  Furthermore, since they are easily disassembled, cleaning them is also no difficult feat to perform.  In summary, the benefits of FRIGOTHERM shell and tube heat exchangers are as follows: Extensive design, materials and performance flexibility: o Design options include fixed tubesheets, floating tubesheets and removable bundles, manufactured in single- or multi-pass, straight or as a U-tube. o Material options include steel, stainless steel, copper, bronze, nickle, exotic alloys and titanium. This extensive flexibility results in tailored heat exchangers that perfectly match your specific heat transfer needs. High pressure and temperature handling capability. Capable of handling a wide range of fluids – ranging from water to oil to process and corrosive fluids – and gasses. Highly cost competitive. All of these are crucial advantages.  When compared to plate heat exchangers, however, they are the least effective when it comes to heat transfer coefficients and ratios like kW per kg. Nonetheless, when safety and a high degree of reliability and maintainability are important requirements, then this product is preferable. Crucial factors to consider:  standardised or customised The section that now follows provides a detailed outline of FRIGOTHERM’s range of standardised shell and tube heat exchangers, namely UNIVEX and the OCC series. The UNIVEX technical description Application - Cooling of hydraulic and lube oils, converter oils, cutting and cooling oils, hydraulic liquids, water / glycol.  Low-cost coolants that can be used are process water and seawater. Function - The warm medium flows around the tube bundle within the shell.  The cooling water flows in 4-pass principle through the tubes. Special features - Attractive price-performance ratio. Extreme reliability. Tube bundle is easy to remove and to clean. Stress-free expansion of the bundle is ensured. Mounting bracket included in delivery. High specific heat transfer coefficient due to compact tube bundle. As standard corrosion-resistant material is used: -  Tubes:  CuNi 10 Fe. -  Bonnets:  CuSn 7 Pb 6 Zn 4 . Operating data - Technical data - Selection chart - The OCC Series:  Universal application shell tubes for oil cooling Advantages - Well priced. Outstanding after sales service. Reliable and robust design. All-round easy cleaning. Components in semi stock. All units fully tested. Port connections flanged or socketed. Baffle configuration optimised to clients’ requirements. The right OCC type for your needs - Required data for the best shell and tube heat exchanger design State-of-the-art computer selection software is used, enabling the team to supply customers with the optimal model size.  The data required to make the optimal model size selection can be found in the GET A QUOTE section - simply click on SHELL AND TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS, complete the form electronically and submit it to the FRIGOTHERM team.
